Salted Lemon — 500ml
£10.00
sharp · saline · sunlit
Lemon, with the volume turned up. Fresh lemon juice for the sharpness, preserved lemons — salted with black peppercorns and bay — for the depth underneath. The salt doesn't make it salty. It makes lemon taste more like lemon.
This is the most versatile bottle we make and the one to start with.
HOW TO DRINK IT 1 part Drouth to 5 parts water is the rule. Then:
Still — 1:5 with cold water, ice, a thick slice of lemon. Sparkling — 1:4 with soda. Our house lemonade. Hot — 1:6 with hot water and a thumb of grated ginger when you're feeling rough. With alcohol — 25ml Drouth, 50ml gin, top with soda. Or a Margarita with no need for the lime.
500ml. Makes about 12 drinks. Store in a cool, dry place and refrigerate after opening.
INGREDIENTS Fresh lemon juice (47%), sugar, preserved lemons (13%) [lemons, water, sea salt, black peppercorns, bay leaves], lemon zest (4%), preserved lemon brine, sea salt, citric acid.
Made in small batches in North London.
