Grapefruit & Bay — 500ml
£10.00
bitter · aromatic · bright
Bitter pink grapefruit, fresh bay, not much else. Built for people who find cordial too sweet. The grapefruit does the bitterness; the bay sits underneath it, green and savoury, like something you'd find in a good cocktail rather than a lunchbox.
HOW TO DRINK IT 1 part Drouth to 5 parts water is the rule. Then:
Still — 1:5 with cold water, lots of ice. Sparkling — 1:4 with tonic, or with soda if you want the bay to come through. Hot — 1:6 with hot water. Surprisingly good, like a tea. With alcohol — 25ml Drouth, 50ml tequila or mezcal, soda, salt on the rim. Or 25ml Drouth with dry white vermouth and soda for a low-alcohol aperitif.
500ml. Makes about 12 drinks. Store in a cool, dry place and refrigerate after opening.
INGREDIENTS Pink grapefruit juice (58%), sugar, pink grapefruit zest (6%), fresh bay leaves (2%), citric acid, malic acid, salt.
Made in small batches in North London.
